Santa Croce Boutique Hotel

The Santa Croce Boutique Hotel was a gem. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They were pleasant and were able to take care of our requests during the stay. The facility was clean, the room was comfortable and the bathroom was very roomy for a European hotel. They also had an outdoor seating area with a bar. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast service was great. It was also less than a minute’s walk from a couple of nice restaurants. All in all, a great stay.

Everything was very good. Welcome gifts in the room on arrival were a great surprise. The variety and quality of the breakfasts and service were superb. A special thank you to Martina on reception who helped advise on restaurants to visit and booked these on our behalf. All the suggestions by Martina were really good choices. Highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely fantastic. We generally don’t post about our stays but in this instance I think the hotel deserves it. We had a junior suite and a double room for four of us. It being a relatively new hotel, room and set-up is very good. But what compelled us to write the review is the level of service we received at the hotel. There was an incident during the first night of our stay there. It was purely due to the night porter’s somewhat lack of English. But the way Ricardo, Roberto and the manager Paolo handled it the next morning was exceptional. I can’t fault that. One of our highlights in Venice was sitting at the front concourse of the hotel sipping a fabulous cocktail made up by Mattio, the in-house mixologist there. As our flight was late in the evening they were very happy to allow us to sit in the lobby and provided us with all kinds of assistance. Over the years. we have been fortunate enough to stay in some of the big name hotels in Europe and North Africa, I will say the personal touch and level of service this hotel provided is up to that standard. It was like the exact correct level of service without getting overbearing. All the restaurant recommendations provided were brilliant, all the tours they arranged for us were very good and value for money. I don’t know when I will go back to Venice again, but when I go, I know where I will stay.
